There’s no fun in losing full control of everyday functions like chewing and speaking, as a result of missing teeth. If you’re considering replacing one or more missing teeth but you’re unsure of which treatment is right for you, we’re glad you’re reading this.
At Appoline, we can offer a diversity of tooth replacement treatments to fit varying budgets and requirements.
Every one of your teeth contributes to making eating and talking easy. When you lose even one incisor, premolar or molar, this can lead to speech impediments and difficulties in tearing and chewing different foods.
Teeth also support the long-term health of your jawbone, which needs the support of your natural tooth roots to remain strong and resilient to problems such as fractures.
Losing teeth can also disrupt the position of other teeth, it’s not uncommon for remaining teeth to begin moving into the gap left behind by vacant teeth. Once this happens, you might need to look into having an orthodontic treatment to fix the issue of unnatural gaps in your smile.
What type of tooth replacement treatment is available to me?
We offer the following tooth replacement treatments:
Dental implants – The ultimate answer to a missing tooth. Dental implants substitute tooth roots which perform in the same way as natural tooth roots. Your dental implant will be made of titanium, which does an unparalleled job at pretending to be a real tooth root: your body will subsequently believe it is getting a new tooth and the jawbone, therefore, starts to grow around it. Not only does this means this new root is incredibly stable, but your jawbone will also be protected from the risk of decreasing in volume.
Dentures – Our lightweight and natural-looking removable dentures are comfortable to wear. We can also secure a set of dentures with implants if you are looking for a full smile, excellent stability when eating and talking, and to protect your facial integrity from the risk of lost volume.
All-on-4 implants – Using only 4 implants, we can affix a custom-made bridge in place in the mouth of a patient with insufficient jawbone volume for other implant-based treatments. This is also a cost-effective option, as fewer implants are required to secure a whole arch of teeth in patients who have lost almost all, or indeed all, of their natural teeth.
Does having missing teeth affect my general health?
If you have lost missing teeth to gum disease, waiting to replace these lost teeth could result in plaque finding its way into the bloodstream. This can lead to heart disease since plaque is responsible for constricting the arteries and making your bloodstream work harder to flow fluidly.
We recommend having gaps in your smile attended to at the earliest opportunity. We can offer 0% finance for more financially involved treatments, to help you spread the cost in a way that suits your lifestyle.
How will I feel after replacing a missing tooth?
Losing teeth can feel much like losing confidence building blocks. Once you have replaced missing teeth, not only will your peace of mind be restored, but you are also more likely to feel more relaxed when you engage in conversations with others.
